Birch Aquarium in La Jolla

Birch Aquarium is located 10.5 miles north of the condo near UCSD. Run by Scripps Institution of Oceanography, it features more than 60 habitats with animals representing 380 species. You will discover a variety of marine life up close and personal. Learn all about the kelp forests, the California state fish, Garibaldi, seahorses and sea dragons, sharks and other ocean sea life! Watch live as the sharks and other marine life feed. Located at the entrance of the aquarium, Splash! Cafe is a great Fresh Gourmet Restaurant. It offers sandwiches, salads, and side dishes that are made daily from scratch. If you have two to three hours to spare, Scripps Birch Aquarium is a great place to visit for all ages.
